Privacy policy
What we collect, why, and your rights.
Who we are
South West Solar Solutions is responsible for the personal information collected through this website. Contact us at enquiries@sw-ss.co.uk.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry we collect your name, postcode, email address, phone number, property type, what you are interested in, optional usage details and anything you add in the message box.
Why we use it
We use it to reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote and arrange a survey if you want one. Our legal basis is taking steps at your request before a contract, and our legitimate interest in running our business.
Who sees it
Your enquiry is emailed to us. We use email and hosting providers to run the site and store messages. If you accept analytics cookies, Google also receives anonymous usage data. We do not sell your information.
How long we keep it
We keep it for as long as we need it to deal with your enquiry and any work that follows, and for as long as the law requires. Then we delete it.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google, to count visits and see which pages are useful. It only runs if you choose Accept in the cookie notice. If you accept, Google sets cookies named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID. They last up to two years and record how many people visit, which pages they view and roughly where they are from. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not link this data to your enquiry.
If you choose Reject, or ignore the notice, no analytics cookies are set and nothing is sent to Google. Your choice is saved in your browser, not in a cookie. You can change it at any time with Cookie settings in the footer of every page. Google may process this data outside the UK, as set out in how Google uses information from sites that use its services. Our legal basis is your consent.
The enquiry form and the rest of the site do not need cookies.
Your rights
You can ask us to see, correct or delete your information, or to stop using it. Email us to do so. If you are unhappy, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
